My Love For You

I am unable to express fully my love for you.

I await the invention of the words by Poets not yet born and Orators not yet speaking.

There is no earthly boundary that can keep my feeling for you contained.

No border recognized by my heart.

It is a pulsing.  A whisper that continuously beats in time with yours.

Be comforted my beloved.  There is nothing but love in your world.

Embrace it.

Mike Pence - Apologist-In-Chief

Bubb gave me the phrase "Apologist In Chief" this morning for Mike Trump.

Watching the Putz on CNN this morning it certainly seems accurate.

Ugh

Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence insisted Sunday that Donald Trump has been “absolutely consistent” on how he’d treat undocumented immigrants as president and his recent comments on the topic have been that of “a CEO at work.”

But he wouldn’t directly address whether Trump would stick with his calls during the GOP primary campaign for a “deportation force” to deport those immigrants — or, as Trump has indicated in recent days, back away from that proposal — in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”

“There will be no path to legalization, no path to citizenship. People who want to gain legal status — you heard Donald Trump say again and again — will have to leave this country,” Pence said.
Tapper pressed Pence several times on whether Trump specifically still wants a “deportation force” — which he’d called for nearly a year ago. It was part of Trump’s hard-line stance on his signature issue of immigration. He’s also insisted he’ll build a U.S.-Mexico border wall

Brave Racists and Leslie Jones

So I know Leslie Jones from that funny AF ad for Allstate Insurance "Want my numbah?".

However, I really know Leslie Jones from the concerted efforts of brave racists like Milo Bottomopolous and the various Alt-Right (ugh - that term) heroes who are bravely and selflessly targeting Leslie Jones each and every god damn day.

How lucky we are to have these brave, white, Xtian men to attack a funny, enthusiastic, people driven comedian like Leslie Jones.  After all, if we have TOO much Leslie Jones, it is entirely possible our children will spontaneously morph into 6 foot tall, amazon like women of colour who make Insurance and movie reboots funny.

Thank you Brave Racists.  Thank you.

Julian Assange And Wikileaks Are Putzes

So aside from putting gay people in Saudi Arabia in danger, that bipedal turd Julian Assange and his WikiLeaks team are going to dump yet more Clinton documents in a concerted hope to harm her campaign.

Once upon a time WikiLeaks may - MAY - have been able to claim the moral high ground.  But now after putting lives in risk AGAIN, and interfering in the internal democratic processes of the United States they are clearly just another form of terrorist organisation.

I say threaten the Ecuadorians and get Assange out of there and into a cell.  He is a putz with NO concern for the safety of individuals and every concern with making sure he is COOL and in the headlines for sticking it to the 'establishment'.  Regardless of whether he is affecting change in the right establishment or not.

ORLANDO : Hospitals Waive Costs For Pulse Victims

This is G-ds work in action.  Good on them.

Article reprinted from Joe My God.

The Orlando Sentinel reports:Orlando Health and Florida Hospital will not bill survivors of the Pulse nightclub massacre for out-of-pocket medical expenses, officials announced Wednesday. Instead, the hospitals will write off an estimated $5.5 million or more in care.

“The pulse shooting was a horrendous tragedy for the victims, their families and our entire community,” Orlando Health President and CEO David Strong said. “During this very trying time, many organizations, individuals and charities have reached out to Orlando Health to show their support. This is simply our way of paying that kindness forward.”

Its main hospital — Orlando Regional Medical Center — treated 44 of the more than 50 victims who needed immediate medical attention from the June 12 attack that killed 49 people. The nightclub is only a couple of blocks from the Level 1 trauma center.Nine of the Pulse patients died shortly after arriving at ORMC, and their families also will not be charged, hospital officials said. One victim remains hospitalized there.

At Orlando Health, bills will be sent to health insurers for patients who had coverage, but whatever those policies don’t cover will be absorbed by the hospital chain, said spokeswoman Kena Lewis.

I Found A Temple

Mazel Tov I  have a temple!

Tonight was first night of a set of 13 study sessions on Judaism.

The congregation B'Nai Jehuda in Overland Park is welcoming, engaging and humble.

I look forward to a long and Jewishly meaty life with my new Temple.

3 Months Without Incident

I would say that America agrees with me.

I am now about to enter my fourth month with no depressive incident.

This is wonderful considering that before coming over my depression was kind of going on overload.

Now I am thrilled to have this - AND - to have lost 10 pounds since getting here.

Seems a change really can be as good as a holiday :)

No Same Sex Marriage For Australia

Well well well.  The Wicked Witch of Down Under broke his promise.  Now he says no same sex marriage plebiscite until 2017.

Ugh.  What a dreadful, small little man.  Wealth clearly cannot buy integrity.

The plebiscite to decide whether marriage equality should be legalised in Australia will be held in February 2017.  The Daily Telegraph reported late today that the issue would not be put to the Australian public until early next year.

Australia's Horrid Prime Minister - Malcolm Turnbull @TurnbullMalcolm

Malcolm Turnbull, the prime minister, had pledged before the July election to hold the plebiscite before the end of the year.  The plebiscite will reportedly ask: “Do you approve of a law to permit people of the same sex to marry?”  The government had considered other options for the question, but those would be abandoned after testing poorly in focus groups funded by activists.
Voting would be compulsory with fines imposed for those who failed to do so.

The Daily Telegraph reported that the prime minister would announce the new timeline at a Coalition party room meeting on 13 September, during the second week of parliamentary sittings.
It also reported that Bill Shorten, the Labor leader, would launch a last-minute bid to overthrow the plebiscite in the coming weeks, introducing a private member’s bill to legalise marriage equality with a free vote of Parliament.

© AAP Image/Joel Carrett Supporters of marriage equality have been calling on members of federal parliament to pass legislation and avoid a same-sex marriage plebiscite.

Turnbull had been unequivocal about his desire to hold the plebiscite as soon as possible – ideally before the year was out – in the lead-up to the 2 July election.  But after he was elected as prime minister he appeared to shy from the commitment, indicating on 18 July that it may be delayed until 2017.

A spokesman for Turnbull could not be reached for immediate comment by Guardian Australia.

A plebiscite is a direct vote of all the members of the country on an important public policy issue, but is distinct from a referendum because the constitution does not need to be changed.
The plebiscite would be followed by a vote in parliament, and various government members have signalled that they would not be led by its result.

Some, including senators Eric Abetz and Cory Bernardi, have said they would abstain or vote against the legislation that would come before the parliament if the plebiscite was passed.

In July a poll found that only 48% of Australians backed a marriage equality plebiscite, casting doubt over the government’s claim the “overwhelming majority” of Australians were in favour of the idea.
The issue had caused rifts among marriage equality advocates, who were split over whether to launch a campaign to win over the public or push for a free vote in parliament.

Rodney Croome resigned as the national director of Australian Marriage Equality at the start of this month.  He was among many campaigners who feared that a plebiscite campaign could put vulnerable members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex community at risk.
“If there is a plebiscite, and when the first gay kid dies at his own hand because of the hate and fear-mongering, I have to be able to look at myself in the mirror and know I did everything I could to stop it … everything,” said Croome.

I Can't - Defintion Of Hypocrisy

Ryan Lochte .... Douche .... Lying Douche .... Runaway Home Douche .... Ugh :(

Gabby Douglas .... Poised .... Supportive of her teammates .... Gracious .... Humble .... Classy in all media interviews.

The difference between the two?  Douchebag gets to benefit from White Privilege, and Ms Douglas gets the smack down from the racist majority because she didn't put her hand on her heart during the anthem at her gold medal ceremony.  The fuq????

I can't with America sometimes.  And I truly love this country.

My Granddaddy would be so ashamed.

I Hate Unscrupulous People

Especially when they're dentists.

Bubb and I were with the fam for vacation down at Myrtle Beach three weeks ago when he started to get a toothache.  After 2 days in pain, we went to a Dentist who said there was an infection in the root, and then patched it up as best as possible so he could get home.  We landed on a Saturday and had planned to go to the Dentist on Monday, but Bubb was in such pain that we went straight from the airport to the first Dentist we could find.

We went to the Dentist, and they identified a root canal *ugh*.  So they did the root canal and put on a temporary.  We then had to wait a week for the perm crown.  A week.  When I had mine done it took two days.  Red flags were going up.  Bubb goes back and gets the perm crown.  Cut to almost a week later, Bubb is still in pain and slowly going insane from the pain and annoyance.

So now we are off to an Endodontist tomorrow to potentially have the crown removed, root canal possibly re-cleaned, and a new crown done.  Needless to say, Bubb is fit to be tied.  And I am running a close second behind him.

The annoying part, they make you sign all sorts of forms when you go to a dentist that you basically have no recourse if they screw up.  Which drives me insane.  And you're going to sign them because you're in pain and need to have your tooth fixed!!!  My husband has been in pain for a week and the quack who didn't fix it gets off fine.

Sigh.

I hate unscrupulous people.

Blessings for Bubb

A Change Is As Good

So the other blog had become a chore and in sitting down with Bubb and examining why it was clear that I had lost my way.

He suggested that rather than refreshing the other blog that I should pack my bags and start a new one fresh and clean.

Welcome to 2 Shoes & A Broom.

This blog will be back to basics.  Me.  My new home of Kansas (hence the title).  My adventures in my new corner of Emerald City.

So here is our house that Bubb and I now own together.  Blessed.

I am so lucky to have Bubb in my life.  He is my rock and my best friend.  More of him to come later :)

I am loving life in Kansas.  Overland Park where we live is gorgeously green and very well laid out.  Broad roads.  Lots of green spaces.  The people are remarkably LGBT friendly.  And it has all the amenities and fun places that an Aussie with a new car needs to go "visiting" and "essploring" :)

I hope you enjoy the new blog and stop by often.  Don't be afraid to say hi in the comments.  I love to hear from you all.

Blessings to all as we embark on this new chapter in mine and Bubbs' life.

Shalom

Damien.
